Songs For the Cure/Nashville's founder is Nile "Big Daddy" Peaytt. A former radio-TV personality who moved to Nashville TN to become a songwriter back in 1997. Although Nile has been involved with cancer charities most of his life. Tragedy hit home when he lost his wife Wendy on March 29th 2005,after a five year battle with cancer.
Now "Big Daddy" uses his experience from his loss to help others. Putting on shows,setting up support groups,making house calls and raising money for cancer families that have been hit hard by this disease. In January of 2010,Nile made it his mission to fight childhood cancer. And plans do to do shows and visit "cancer kiddos" all over the world.
